BD and M&A Senior Associate

This position is responsible for helping the Company achieve its ongoing growth plan in the commodities industry. The primary function of this position is leading business development and M&A projects including all aspects of a transaction from start to finish.

Main accountabilities:

• Analyze business development and M&A opportunities including investment returns, business models and long term strategy for the company.
• Perform valuation analysis including building DCF models and assessing cost of capital, comparable transactions and benchmarking against the industry.
• Manage and structure projects from start to finish in all aspects of a transaction including legal, tax, accounting and finance.
• Develop financial models and performs valuation analysis to analyze investment returns, project financing and acquisition financing.
• Lead internal investment process by working closely with business units to build investment cases and make recommendations to the business development group and management.
• Support existing operations with financial performance evaluation of industrial assets and strategic acquisitions including financial reporting to banks under project financing.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a business, economics or accounting related field is required, preferably from a European or US university
• 5-7 years of working experience in a corporate environment, preferably in an investment bank or investment firm
• Work experience in a commodities or industrial business will be a plus
• Experience working on international projects, more specifically in Eastern Europe
• International mobility with exposure to different geographic regions will be a plus
• Demonstrated transaction experience
• English (Fluent)
• Experience must include financial modeling, a strong understanding of corporate finance and valuation techniques, and an ability to provide critical thinking towards investment analysis
• Proven grasp of valuation and accounting concepts
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling
• Results-oriented with demonstrated self-initiative
• Strong time management and organization skills with proven ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• Ability to complete tasks in a fast pace environment with shifting priorities
