What will you do in this position?

To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities
 

How can you make a difference?

1. Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
2. Coordinate requisitioning and ensure timely delivery of commodities and supplies to authorised partners and destinations while taking appropriate actions to resolve operational issues, escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
3. Plan and manage warehouse operations to ensure safe and efficient warehousing and storage of food and non-food commodities.
4. Oversee warehouse operations and manage the kitting process, ensuring the effective functioning of the production.
5. Manage documentation processing for execution of logistics operations (e.g., customs clearance, invoice verification), take appropriate actions to resolve operational issues , escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
6. Perform research, collect data and conduct analysis, and produce reports (e.g. CCTI, SPRs, financial closure, physical inventory, transport performance) and ensure the information accuracy in corporate systems to enable informed decision-making
7. Undertake monthly and annual stock counting physically and systematically, and discrepancies are identified and reported.
8. Implement effective execution of warehouse and inventory management practices according to WFP standards (including regular commodity and warehouse inspection, sanitary measures, pest control, and other loss mitigation methods)
9. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support logistics operations management and contribute to effective service delivery.
10. Supervise the work of support staff, providing practical advice and guidance to ensure individual, and team objectives are delivered to agreed standards and deadlines for all assistance modalities.

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.

Experience: Six years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain systems, logistics reporting, inventory management, and/or warehouse.

Knowledge and skills : 

?    Experience maintaining corporate systems and running queries on ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims, and food stock.
?    Experience in administering third-party service providers’ contracts.
?    Experience in compiling contract documentation.
?    Experience in contract execution. 


Language: Proficient in oral and written communication skills in English and Ukraine.
