Head of IFRS Reporting Unit
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of month-end/ quarter-end/ year-end Group Reporting Package for the Group consolidation purposes to parent company in accordance with IFRS / Group accounting policies
- Coordinate preparation of full set of annual/ interim/ quarterly Financial statements and Notes disclosures in accordance with IFRS and NBU regulations
- Develop and structure the regular working papers for FS notes disclosures preparation
- Act as a liaison between parent company and bank to provide commentaries regarding financial results and other inquiries from parent company
- Act as a coordinator of annual external audit process and NBU inspections, resolve auditors issues
- Research and interpret new accounting standards and NBU regulation to assess potential impact on financial reporting and propose changes to accounting policies
- Analyse actual results vs. budget/prior periods, Opex & Capex analysis to provide financial performance insights and recommendations to bank’s management
- Develop and prepare regular monthly/quarterly Macroeconomic and Banking system vs. Bank performance review presentation to Board
- Active involvement in preparation of forecast of financial results on a quarterly basis
- Drive ongoing change management initiatives for automation, improvement of efficiency and accuracy of reporting process, rationalize data infrastructure and database models
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position in Banks / Audit firms
- Big 4 audit experience is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus
- Sound knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 7 and NBU regulations
- Familiarity with methodology of LCR, NSFR, Capital adequacy ratio, LLP calculation
- Hands on in data queries (PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer)
- MS Excel – advanced level (ability to quickly process and analyse big massive of the data)
- MS Power BI (Power Query, Power Pivot), QlikView, Qlik Sense, Oracle BI - considered as an advantage
- Language skills: English (advanced)
- University Master/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Audit or similar
- Critical thinking and strong leadership skills
- Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Advanced written and communication skills
- Open-minded and can-do attitude
