Lead Support Engineer

DB Best is seeking an experienced Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level assistance to our clients. You will work closely with our development team, support users' infrastructure: Windows and Linux Servers, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases, Java web-based apps, ETL and Reporting systems, and troubleshoot software problems. We're a company operating in Ukraine with a head office in the US. We're focused on Apps Development, Data Management, Modernization, and Cloud. Requirements:

• Strong team management and organizational skills;
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is very much welcomed;
• Proficiency working with monitoring tools;
• Confidence with ticketing or incident tracking systems;
• Strong communication skills, proactiveness, team-playing attitude;
• Good spoken and written English (upper-intermediate level).
  

Will be a plus:

• Basic skills of Oracle Database and SQL Server administration and development;
• Basic skills of Windows or Linux administration, including installation, networking, bootstrapping, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 4 engineers, workflow coordination, and knowledge-sharing;
• Customer infrastructure support: Windows and Linux Servers, Oracle or SQL Server databases, Java web-based apps, ETL, and reporting systems;
• Effective troubleshooting and incidents resolving under time pressure;
• Providing users with online consultations applying fine English skills;
• Recommending, and implementing policies to ensure quality, timely, and efficient support;
• Creation of documents associated with the company's best practices for debugging and analyzing customer issues;
• Working effectively with developers implementing strategies to increase profitability, productivity, and overall client experience.
