Senior Test Automation Engineer

ELEKS Quality Assurance Office is looking for Senior Test Automation Engineer in our Lviv Office

ABOUT CLIENT:

Our Customer is an international product company leveraged by top-notch leading investors (RedPoint, Mayfield, and Microsoft Ventures) with the HQ in San Francisco Bay Area. They are building a large scale distributed platform that manages private software-defined data centers fully integrated with world-leading public clouds.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications as well as product functionality to convert them into quality control process artefacts
• Prepare and acquire test data
• Develop, execute, refactor and optimize automation scripts
• Log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
• Use automation scripts administration, monitoring, and management tools
• Provide automation test environment setup
• Review test artefacts developed by others
• Contribute to automation process control definition and improvement
• Provide new automation tools or approaches investigation and implementation
• Provide test documentation creation
• Communicate with a customer

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of proven experience developing test automation of software product by using one of JVM languages (e.g. Java, Groovy, Scala, etc.)
• Experience with RESTful API principles
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. git/GitHub), CI tools (e.g. Jenkins), code review tools (e.g. ReviewBoard, Gerrit), issue management and bug life cycle (e.g. Jira) and automation dashboards
• Intermediate or higher level of English
• BS or MS in Computer Science or other related majors

WILL BE PLUS:

• Practical experience with some of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Consul, Cassandra and ElasticSearch
• Good understanding of public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure); particular experience with Azure
• Knowledge of Python or other script languages
