Job title: Base Facilities Officer

 

Location: Mariupol, Ukraine

 

 

Objective of the Position:

 

 

Carrying out or supervising all maintenance logistics activities in the base (vehicles, fuel consumption, and local infrastructure) according to MSF standards and protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Logistics Manager in order to ensure a proper safety of all movements in the project, and to/from the project.
  • Organize and supervise the fleet of vehicles and drivers in the Mariupol base (follow up driver's schedules, vehicles maintenance, vehicles registration and insurance,  consumption of supplies, etc.).
  • Performing monthly check of the vehicle inventory, documentation and first aid kits.
  • Reporting any problems with the vehicles (mechanical, accidents) to the line manager / technical referent as well as preparing monthly reports on services, spare parts, consumption, etc. of each vehicle.
  • Ensuring the check and follow-up of facilities under the line manager's supervision through regular visits to the facilities and reporting any anomalies or problems, evaluation of the rehabilitation needs and following up minor building rehabilitation work according to supervisor's instructions; checking that premises observe security norms and monitoring the consumption of mechanical and electrical vehicles/machines/devices
  • Ensuring the vehicle fleet maintenance which includes planning and overseeing timely preventive and curative maintenance of all project vehicles according to MSF standards and Instructing and monitoring drivers on correct driving habits and standard checks
  • Coordinating and leading the drivers under his/her responsibility which includes daily supervision, monitoring of the quality of work and the definition of each person's task, drawing up their working schedules; organizing and leading team meetings; participating in the recruitment of team personnel and attending logistics meetings and accounting for his activities
  • ensuring the maintenance of the MSF premises, facilities and open spaces as well as the general water supply, electrical, walls, ceiling and security conditions. In this sense, making inspection visits to assess the rehabilitation needs of facilities.
  • Performing maintenance of logistics equipment
  • Carrying out local purchases and ensuring that the line manager is aware of any problems linked to the quality or availability of the items/services to be purchased, to ensure good use of them or be able to deliver services.

 

Requirements:

  • Essential Secondary Education, Technical one is an asset
  • Relevant  experience
  • Fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, English (oral and written) is essential
  • Essential skills in computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet, database)
  • Experience in an international organization, NGO is an asset

Monthly gross salary (before taxation) is 20 523 UAH.
