Senior Java Developer

We invite an experienced Senior Java Developer who is open to new opportunities and solutions for a long-term project.

About
Our project is a Leading travel retailer with over 2,300 Tax and Duty Free stores in 65 countries.

Technologies: Java11, Spring, Powermock, jUnit, Maven, SLF4g and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Angular 5, JSP, MS SQL, Tomcat 9, Git, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube.

Responsibilities:

• Work autonomously demonstrating initiative and common sense;

• Participate in design and code reviews;

• Design solutions that are modular, scalable and portable;

• Communicate with peers to address technical roadblocks;

• Focus on strong teamwork within remote team members according to business alignment;

• Build software solutions using agile practices and engage with the business stakeholders in sprint reviews and participate in daily meetings;

• Have an inquiring mind with the ability to research, question and think outside the box.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development focusing on Java

• Experience working with Spring Framework;

• Experience working with SQL;

• Desirable experience with MS Excel, Apache POI (Java API for Microsoft Documents);

• Experience using a debugger (for example, idea Intellij);

• Strong sense of code quality: you follow design patterns and the principles of clean code;

• Strong ownership-attitude: you want to deliver and maintain solid parts of the product;

• Data-driven mindset: you act on the insights from errors and usage data;

• Sensibility towards IT security and the topic of concurrenc

• English — Intermediate level or higher.

Would be a plus:

• Knowledge of ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana);

• Knowledge of Angular 5+, JSP;

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes.
