Lead Software Test Automation Engineer (Python)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our customer is a financial data and analytics provider. Serves more than 40,000 institutions in over 190 countries. Enables the financial community to trade smarter and faster, overcome regulatory challenges, and scale intelligently.

The project is aimed for the infrastructure and software platform running on 2500+ physical servers and providing reliable, cost-effective solutions for the collection and distribution of real-time, historical market data and value-add analytics for 200 000+ professional users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis existing scripts for already automated scenarios and provide solution for further support expediency
• Setup framework to organize automation process on the project
• Automating Testing scenarios for product enhancements, new functionality
• Automation Test cases creation and execution
• Automated Test results documentation preparation

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in software testing
• 3+ years of testing of backend workflow systems
• Experience in Framework setup and driving from scratch
• Knowledge of Python or similar language
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix OS and console command line
• Experience in using Robot Framework or similar for test scenarios automation
• Familiarity in networking - understanding of TCP / UDP / Multicast protocols
• Understanding of XML & JSON formats
• Experience in Selenium Web driver

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of one additional scripting language (Bash, Perl, Shell)
• Financial Markets Data domain knowledge
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in using JMeter
