Senior C++/Linux Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION

Our customer is one of the biggest producers of premium cars and the world's biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles with a global reach. The client also provides financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance, financial investments, credit cards, and innovative mobility services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take full responsibility on development tasks assumed - design/architecture, implementation, unit test coverage, code review
• Develop an in-vehicle embedded system
• Integrate third party software components
• Integrate containerized applications into Linux system

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Linux software development
• Good knowledge of ANSI C, C++, CMake, Makefiles, Bash
• Solid understanding of Git-based development workflows
• Familiarity with build systems: BitBake, repo
• Hands-on experience in Yocto, OpenEmbedded Projects
• Knowledge of Python, Go, Rust programming languages
• Intermediate or higher English level (B1+) both written and spoken

NICE TO HAVE

• Expertise in Linux kernel drivers engineering
• Familiarity with containerization (LXC, Docker, etc.) or virtualization technologies (Xen, KVM)
• Open-source community participation (upstreaming, patch review, etc.)
• Embedded software development expertise
