for the Country Office in Kyiv we are looking for a

Junior Administrative Professional at the Portfolio Management Unit (part time)

 

As a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, we are dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world. We work with businesses, civil society actors and research institutions, fostering successful interaction between development policy and other policy fields and areas of activity. Our main commissioning party is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The commissioning parties and cooperation partners all place their trust in GIZ, and we work with them to generate ideas for political, social and economic change, to develop these into concrete plans and to implement them. Main responsibilities and obligations:

 

Portfolio Management

  • Quality assurance for the reports to the commissioning party
  • Participation in the preparation of negotiations at the government level
  • Support in answering requests from the commissioning parties and the GIZ Headquarters
  • Translation/cross-check of documents (German / English and vice versa)
  • Support in preparing and conducting various events
  • Research activities and knowledge management
  • Support in handling daily administrative and professional tasks
  • Preparation of negotiations at the government level

 

PR:

  • Update of the social media / Facebook and / or web presence
  • Support in the development of a communication concept
  • Preparation of presentations
  • Maintenance of the image database

 

Requirements:

 

Qualifications

  • Basic degree in social science and humanities

 

Professional experience

  • Experience in development cooperation
  • Experience in public relations and communications
  • Experience with topics like „Migration and Support of Internally Displaced Persons "
  • Knowledge of regional specifics is a benefit

 

Other knowledge, additional competences:

  • Proactive attitude and organisational talent, flexibility
  • Experienced user of MS Office applications (mainly Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Perfect command of German, English and Russian/Ukrainian (oral and written)

 

Assignment:

Employment contract starts as of September 1st, 2020 until the September, 2021 on a part-time basis (20 working hours/week).
