For the GIZ Country Office Kyiv, we are looking for an

IT Professional (full time job)

The main duties and responsibilities on the position are the following:

• Ensuring that IT and management systems operate and function correctly
• Implementing and complying with GIZ IT standards and policies
• Regular updating computer software and programs
• Providing technical support to the staff members of GIZ Ukraine by dealing with questions and problems relating to IT and database management
• Configuration and maintaining servers workstations and laptops
• Conducting and coordinating technical start-ups for new GIZ premises (Country Office and projects)
• Monitoring virus and security alerts notifications and implementing protection procedures
• Managing and maintaining office equipment and inventory
• Assisting in IT related procurement
• Managing and maintaining video surveillance and telephone systems
• Coordination of external service provider(s) in the field of IT
• Implementing all necessary measures to assure IT security
• Support IT ISO certification process

Requirements to candidates

• BA or MA in Information Technology/IT Studies or similar
• At least 3 years professional experience in a similar position
• Outstanding working knowledge of: WLAN protocols, The Internet (IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP), Problem analysis (tcpview, Wireshark), Network routing and switching
• Proficient (certified) level in configuration, administration and operation of LANs, Internet connections, SQL-Server (Microsoft et al.), MS Windows Server, Hardware (PCs, printers, routers etc.), MS Office software, MS Windows Professional incl. Outlook, Cisco Webex
• Responsible work, excellent communication skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to details
• Good command of English (German knowledge is a plus)

Assignment:
