Communication Advisor (full time, Kyiv)

The project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons/Eu4Skills" improves the employability of internally displaced in Eastern Ukraine and supports the national reform of vocational education and training (VET). The project works through policy advise on the national level, assists planning and budgeting on the regional level and supports the implementation of initial and further training on the local level.

Area of responsibilities

• Develop and improve suitable communication instruments for external communication to promote the program's activities and the VET reform
• Implement and follow up daily operational aspects of all issues related to PR, as well as the external and internal communication of the overall programme
• Ensure the respect of visibility & communication guidelines of the contracting authorities
• Establish and maintain contacts to press and PR departments in partner institutions
• Coordinate cooperation with external communication service providers (e.g. appraisers, agencies, photographers, trainers, copywriters)
• Compile information materials for media professionals (i.e. journalists, television reporters, channels, radio stations) attending programme events
• Support the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Qualification Agency and other partner organizations in their communication activities to promote the VET reform
• Assist in other tasks as needed

• Requirements to candidates

   

• MA or post-graduate degree in Journalism, Communication or in a related field (Creative Writing, Marketing, Social Sciences etc.)
• At least 3 years professional experience in a comparable position
• Proven experience in managing communication and outreach activities of an organization in a similar international context
• Experience in liaising with stakeholders such as government officials, private actors, civil society and the press
• Experience in working with social media on behalf of an organization
• Native written and spoken Ukrainian and Russian; excellent command of the English language; knowledge of German is a strong asset
• Knowledge of the Ukrainian government's reform agenda, in particular in the field of VET and education
• Very good working knowledge of IT technologies and computer applications
• Experienced to work in an international team.
• Good self-organisation skills and customer and service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Employment conditions

Full-time position with 40-hours working week until July of 2021. Frequent travel within the relevant regions is required.
