Senior Accountant

 OnApp develops and sells software that enables hosting providers to deploy and manage cloud hosting services more quickly and easily than ever before.

An exciting venture-backed software company headquartered in Tech City, London, E1, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their small Finance team in the Lviv office. 

A fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking accountant, who will have hands-on responsibility for a range of global accounting, tax, and operational matters.

Management Accounting - control of the overall management accounting process

• Preparation of month-end and year-end to agreed standards and deadlines.
• Preparation and ownership of General Ledger ensuring accurate and compliant reporting according to accounting standards.
• Reconciliation and review of the balance sheet monthly.
• Management, reconciliation, and filing of the payroll & benefits to timely and accurate standards.
• Management of all cash and banking processes and short-term forecasts to meet day to day business requirements and manage risk.
• Understanding customer contracts and raising the customer invoices according to the contract terms and conditions.
• Produce and post revenue on a monthly basis.
• Ensure timely Billing and Collection runs throughout the month.
• Assist collections processes, including dunning, reporting, analysis, the relevant revenue deferrals, credits, provisions, and write-offs
• Liaising with customers directly, solving the customer billing queries when they arise along with Account Management Team
• Assist with the production of management accounts, financial statements, and related reports.
• Assist with monthly preparation of information for reporting to the Board.
• Assist with the external audit and providing information for the auditors.

Taxation:

• Assist with computation and filing of all Corporation and related taxes, as supported by regional specialists. Includes Corporation tax; US City, State, Federal & Franchise tax.
• VAT and Sales taxes; and Employment tax filings.

General responsibilities:

• Support with analysis, forecasting, and production of reports
• Systems and process improvements in conjunction with the Finance team
• Ad-hoc duties, projects & tasks as agreed

Education/Experience:

• Degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance
• 5 years' or more experience in accounting/finance
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience with multi-currency accounting
