EH&S Leader

Main activities:
1. To manage, supervise and lead all plant EH&S activities including the planning and conduct of drills and training exercises to maintain and enhance its operational readiness.
2. To assume command and control at all major emergencies.
3. To develop, maintain and improve EH&S policies, procedures, guidelines and advisory bulletins ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory and industry guidance.
4. To carry out investigations into accidents, work related illnesses, dangerous occurrences and near miss incidents and ensure that appropriate reporting action is taken to prevent future recurrence.
5. To conducts operational surveys and fire safety audits of all departments and premises to ensure compliance of the stipulated Yazaki and local EH&S regulations.
6. To source and evaluate appropriate fire-fighting and rescue courses to maintain/upgrade the skills of fire fighters.
7. To ensure the proper recording, accounting and operational readiness of the equipment, stores and all fixed assets under the charge of the department.
8. Actively promote and carry out regular on site EH&S inspections of operational activities and workplaces.
9. Make sure that repair & maintenance contractors / vendors are in compliance with legal insurance requirements before conducting any task inside plant
10. To work closely with the plant Senior Management team on the safety aspects of all the operations and external services provided such as food catering, cleaning, pest management, waste management and technical maintenance.
11. To conduct risk assessment in all plant areas to ensure we continue to meet safety requirement as well as EH&S training (induction and recycling) for the workforce and enforce EH&S rules and regulations.
12. To manage external and regulatory partnerships and advice the Management team in order to deliver a competitive advantage.
13. To monitor, analyze and report the EH&S performance and define benchmarks, continual improvement and preventive actions.
14. To carry out method statement reviews against EH&S legislation and company EH&S requirements.
Requirements:
1. Higher education.
2. Work safety, health and environmental experience, gained from within a multinational or national corporate business in the industry.
3. Work experience on leading positions.
4. English language.
5. Srtong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in team.
7. Problem solving skills.
8. Organization skills.
9. Flexibility.
10. Passed training in EH&S.
