Senior AI Engineer / Java Developer

Zoral Labs, a leading provider of research and development to the software industry, announces a major expansion of its development centres in Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa and invites talented specialists to fill the position of Senior AI Engineer / Java Developer.

Required skills:

• AI experience (natural language processing skills, general machine learning skills, unstructured text processing/scrapping, text categorization skills, etc.) is a must;
• 3+ years of Java (server side) experience;
• Experience in GATE platform;
• Entity extraction;
• Strong analytical skills.

It is highly desirable to have strong knowledge of/experience with:

• Shallow parsing
• Entity Extraction
• Text summarization
• Design and implementation of distributed, scalable systems
• Clustering
• Classification (Bayesian Classifier, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Decision Trees or other classification)
• Neural Networks
• First Order Predicate Logic
• Inductive Logic Programming (ILP)
• Association Rules mining
• Genetic Algorithms Programming
• Functional languages programming

Other skills:

• Good level of English language knowledge
• Strong team-work focus;

Main responsibilities:

* Develop & extend statistical named entity recognizer for broad set of entities;

* Develop & support rule-based subsystem for information extraction tasks;

* Knowledge management tasks (training and tuning extraction components);

* Supporting, extending and refactoring the existing complex information extraction system.
