A foreign owned web outsourcing company is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Technical Project Manager in Ukraine. We are looking for an all-round and dynamic person, who shares our passion for great delivery and customer satisfaction. Wide work experience in a similar role, good English skills and readiness to collaborate constantly with distantly located team of professionals are crucial for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing offshore project teams, providing quality assurance of their work.
  • Coding or at least designing software/web solutions.
  • Visiting customers to scope out new projects.
  • Collaboration with the partner companies worldwide.
  • At all times ensuring that deadlines, milestones and customer communication remain at the forefront of the company delivery.

Key requirements:

  • PHP4 and PHP5 to a proven commercial level - 5 years plus experience.
  • Experience of Project Management at a high level.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Javascript to modern commercial standards.
  • Knowledge of XML interchange standards such as RSS, SOAP, XML-RPC.
  • Knowledge of AJAX.
  • Sound knowledge of Relational Databases, especially strong knowledge of MySQL to report-writing level.
  • Familiar with Flash and DHTML.
  • Understanding of SOA and MVC architectures.
  • High level of distributed systems, hosted systems, virtual versus dedicated servers on the LAMP platform.
  • Experience in support (first or second line) of software and websites.
  • Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Good documentation standards.
  • Understanding of testing cycles.

  • Willingness to travel to partner companies worldwide.
  • Experience in assisting in the recruitment of new team members and building a team from scratch is an advantage.

Personal traits:

  • Proven lead developer skills - able to delegate work and manage workload of team members both virtual (outsourced) and in-house.
  • Good customer facing skills.

  • Willing to work autonomously without the need for micro management in a high pressured target driven environment.
